Here's what a architecture studio site looks like when we design it.
A website design for an architecture practice — an exercise in restraint.
The brief was clear from the discipline itself: when the work is this visual, the website's job is to disappear. Architecture portfolios are undermined by decoration, so the design strips back to a gallery-led structure with large project imagery, a near-invisible interface, and typography that stays quiet.
The layout is built on a strict grid with generous whitespace — the same principles the practice applies to a building applied to a page. Projects are presented at scale with room around them, so each one is experienced rather than skimmed. Navigation is minimal and gets out of the way.
The result is confident by omission: nothing on the page competes with the work. Fully responsive, with image handling tuned so large photography loads fast without degrading.
